Just a Sample of Nancy Hanson, Yes she’ll be there too!

March 10, 2010

Nancy Hanson will be at the Massey Family Benefit Concert!

Nancy Hanson’s songwriting is simple, honest and from the heart. Her guitar playing and stage presence are strong and compelling. Add a voice that is at once warm and shimmering, and you begin to see and feel the deep talents of this wonderful artist, this painter of ideas.

Nancy comes to the stage with a love of music.  At twelve years old she successfully negotiated a deal with her mother to end the piano lessons and pick up the guitar.  Guitar playing came naturally to Nancy as she spent hours learning and playing songs written by her favorite artists.  Her early influences include John Denver, Dan Fogelberg and James Taylor.  She later discovered and was drawn to the great female singer-songwriters such as Nanci Griffith, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin.  Nancy has said, “I think all those years I spent listening to and singing songs by these great artists I was subconsciously learning to write myself”.

Often referred to as “the natural” by fellow musicians and fans alike, Nancy Hanson continues to grow as a songwriter, performer, and recording artist.  Much like the great names that inspired her, Nancy continues to inspire and lift others as she musically paints about the wonders and mysteries of life and love.

Here is just a small sample of her playing with Peter Breinhold…ENJOY!

As a recording artist, Alex has sold over 500,000 copies of his hit singles in over 15 European countries. His voice has also supported such megastars as the Backstreet Boys, N’SYNCH, Mary J. Peter Breinholt performing at the benefit for Joe Massey’s family

March 3, 2010

Enjoy one of the songs Peter Breinholt will be performing at the benefit for Joe Massey’s family…

About Peter:

Songwriter Peter Breinholt has been delighting audiences with his self-styled acoustic music for more than a decade. He has sold out every major concert hall in his home state of Utah many times over, including Kingsbury Hall, The Tuacahn Red Rock Amphitheater, The Sundance Amphitheater, Thanksgiving Point, the de Jong Concert Hall, among others. His credits also include six albums, a concert DVD, guitar songbooks, film scores, Pearl Awards, songwriting awards, and concerts with several symphony orchestras and choirs, including the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Here’s how it all began: Born in Pennsylvania, Peter taught himself to play piano and guitar. Around the age of 11 he began writing his own songs. Later, as a college student in Utah, he was persuaded to rent a Salt Lake recording studio and track some of his compositions. Never doing more than two takes during those sessions, the resulting recording is raw and unpolished, which may be one reason the album proved so successful. “It became an underground classic on Utah college campuses” wrote Salt Lake Magazine. The album eventually became one of the best-selling, independently released CDs ever in the state, almost entirely by word of mouth. “If you haven’t heard of Peter Breinholt” the Event Magazine wrote of it’s success, “you’ve been out in the frigid cold. He’s the closest thing Utah has to a music phenomenon.” Since then, his music has spread around the globe, seemingly by itself. He has performed everywhere from New York to Los Angeles, from Spokane to San Antonio. You can find more information at his website at
